Now vs. Recession Appointment Spacing

I'm sure you've all noticed the rise in prices over all. Gas prices are nearly $5. And that is a key indicator of a pending recession. It is coming. It is inevitable. However, you don't have to sacrifice your hair. We just need to make simple shifts in the routine of your bookings and I have solutions below.

I am going to speak to my customized blondies, since you are my people! Low-maintenance blonding is the key here. It is time to shift away from always wanting a full highlight touched up to the root (almost a bleached out look). You can keep a look of all-around blonde without such a high-maintenance routine just as long as you can

find some grace for your genetics and embrace some of your natural growing in between the balayage/highlight.

All of my blondies should be utilizing my range of blonding options. I offer Full, Limited, Surface, and Mini Blondings. Take full advantage! Check out my Customized Blonding Page on the website for more details in what is what. A full blonding is only necessary 2-3 times a year. This does NOT mean that this is your only visits to the salon. If you wait this long between appointments, your hair is sure to be split beyond a few inches and have lost all of it's luster and shine, leaving you with dull lifeless locks. Visiting the salon every 4-8 weeks is crucial to have healthy blonde that you love without breaking the bank. I've found that a way to diffuse investments into your hair is to pair a gloss and trim around the halfway point between blondings. This way you aren't paying for a cut on top of a blonding at your appointments and when glossing you are preserving your blonde until the next blonding session.

Here are two sample road-maps to healthy blonding:

1.

Full Blonding >> Gloss & Trim >> Mini Blonding >> Gloss & Trim >> Limited Blonding >> Gloss & Trim >> Surface Blonding >> Gloss & Trim >> Full Blonding

Suggested spacing: 4 weeks. This means 8 weeks between trims, 8 weeks between blondings, but 32 weeks between full blondings

In the event of a recession or a need to stretch the dollar a bit, I do not recommend skipping any of these maintenance appointments, however you may choose to space them 5-6 weeks apart. This results in up to 12 weeks between blondings and up to 48 weeks between full blondings.

2.

Full Blonding >> Mini Blonding & Trim >> Limited Blonding >> Mini Blonding & Trim >> Full Blonding

Suggested Spacing: 6 weeks. This means 12 weeks between trims, 6 weeks between at least minimal blonding and glosses, 24 weeks between full blondings

In the event of a recession or a need to stretch the dollar a bit, I do not recommend skipping any of these maintenance appointments, however you may choose to space them7-8 weeks apart. This results in up to 16 weeks between trims, 8 weeks between at least minimal blonding and glosses, and 32 weeks between full blondings.

Spacing your appointments in this way gives you a chance to maintain the health and shine of your hair while only needing 2-3 full blondings per year. Being sure that regular trims, glosses, and mini or surface blondings are scheduled appropriately around full and limited blondings is a must to keep blondes thriving.

In spacing further apart, I additionally recommend getting a good hair mask to use at home once a week and in many cases purple shampoo and conditioner.

Remember, Give yourself grace! Embracing who you are and your genetics coming in at the roots is the first step to healthy blonding.

So Much Love from your Beachin' Beautician,
